Exercise Log 12.3.14 (Bench Press & Deadlift Day)
Bench Press & Deadlift day, felt a bit better than the previous day.
Pause Bench Press: 3 sets of 5 reps @ 135lbs. Climbing sets of doubles: 2 @ 145lbs, 2 @ 155lbs, 2 @ 165lbs, failed a rep at 175, went down to 165 by accident instead of 170 so did another 2 @ 165lbs, then 1 @ 170lbs with a second attempt and failure. Had I set the 170 like I had intended, I *should* have succeeded at doing both reps at that weight, but whatever.
Deficit Deadlift: 2 sets of 8 reps @ 210lbs. Bonus round to failure for 13 reps @ 210lbs.
Low Incline Dumbbell Chest Press (with escalating pauses, that is an extra second of pause each rep): 4 sets of 8 reps @ 50lbs (so 7 second pause before the final rep). Felt great!
T-Bar Press: 3 sets of 6 reps @ 100lbs. Felt heavy for whatever reason.
Decline Pause Bench Press: 2 sets of 5 reps @ 145lbs.
Did a run for 3.1 miles to top off the workout, my only real cardio so far in the last week.
