Exercise Log 9.11.14 (Front Squat & Bench Press Day)

Today is Front Squat and Bench Press day.

Front Squat: Set 1) 4 @ 160lbs. Set 2) 4 @ 160lbs. Set 3) 4 @ 170lbs (failed second rep, too fast on the downward motion, regrouped and banged out the last three just fine). Form issue noted: depth is poor. 5 sets of 2 @ 120lbs of speed pulls. All felt real good and form seemed fine here after noting the form errors at the heavier weight and trying to compensate.

Decline Bench Press: Trying to use the decline on my secondary benching day to let my shoulders recover better. Set 1) 3 @ 155lbs. Set 2) 3 @ 155lbs. Set 3) 3 @ 165lbs. 3 sets of 2 @ 115lbs for speed pressing.

Angled Leg Press / Calf Raises: 3 sets of 8 reps ea. @ 270lbs. Focused on bringing the knees in tight.

Back Squat: 3 sets of 5 reps @ 175lbs. Struggled a little for form, have to work on that a bit, but felt good.

Pegged Good Mornings: Did another round of good mornings in the power rack with the bars up for security and they felt real good. 4 sets 5 @ 95lbs.
