I’m counting today as the end of this training cycle, aside from bouldering and the failed Rachel Carson hike, I also helped a friend move all weekend so I’m counting all three of those things as an informal “dev day”. So all I need to do is this workout to finish up. It went well all considered.
Front Squat: Set 1) 5 reps @ 145lbs (82.8% ORM). Set 2) 3 reps @ 155lbs (88.5% ORM). Set 3) 2 reps @ 160lbs (91.4% ORM). Set 4) 3 reps @ 170lbs (97.1% ORM), this final set was intended to failure and will be used to gauge my own training maxes.
I’m estimating a new training max of 185lbs for my front squat based on how these lifts went.
Decline Bench Press: Set 1) 3 reps @ 150lbs. Set 2) 3 reps @ 155lbs. Set 3) 3 reps @ 160lbs.
Angled Leg Press / Calf Raises: 5 sets of 6 reps presses / 8 reps raises @ 360lbs.
Prowler Sled: 6 laps up and down the training hall with the sled loaded @ 160lbs.
Short workout, but honestly I probably need them to be this length more often. It’s only out of stubborness I ever do more than this. Felt great, that’s what counts.
