OBJECTIVE

Seeking internet and computer related work. Lightly experienced with accounting work, great computer skills. Will train. If on-site work is required, please be located in the Portland, OR area. Serious inquiries only.

SUMMARY

Searching more specifically for web design or computer work, skilled in a broad range of webmaster techniques, also willing to consult or tutor. I'm capable of learning virtually any computer-related job, I am proficient with any word processor you could provide and type 140 wpm (including error corrections). I have personally built PC's and have pretty good knowledge of what works and what doesn't. Capable of providing you what you need, I work best when simply shown what to do, along with a working explanation of its purpose and nature.

SKILLS

Web design knowledge:

HTML, XHTML, XML, XSL, XPath, CSS, Javascript, DHTML, Apache SSI, ASP, JSP, PHP, MySQL, and Perl/CGI (limited recent exposure)

Known programs:

MS Access, Dreamweaver & Frontpage (note: I do not use these programs, I prefer handcoding my scripts), Photoshop (various versions), limited exposure to Flash, working knowledge of most FTP programs, most instant messenger clients, most word processors/database programs, and most email programs.

I am well versed in these webmaster skills:

Administration and maintenance of Apache server, Linux/Unix commands, SSH/Telnet, image editing, advanced stylesheet layout, cross-browser compliancy, website promotion and navigation, web server setup, database integration, security issues, installation and use of Xitami, Microsoft's IIS, and Apache (for Linux and Windows).

WORK HISTORY

I have not worked commercially in web-design, but I will outline projects I have worked on non-commercially, detailing the skills involved with their creation.
[August 2005] Morphine Nation (http://www.morphinenation.com/)
Screenshot of the Morphine Nation
This website is the homepage of the politically incorrect Morphine Jim and hosts a variety of comedic articles and comic strips. It is yet another example of my content publishing system. Later added a Wiki to the site.
Status: Active
Credits: I created the backend and frontend elements. The layout was the work of Dziga, Morphine Jim, and JCC. I also installed a MediaWiki script, based on the popular Wikipedia engine for them.
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL

[July 2005] PeeJ: Wankers (http://www.perverted-justice.com/wankers/)
Screenshot of PeeJ: Wankers
An extension of Perverted-Justice.com, Wankers is a dynamic database driven website that features sexual predators who try to expose themselves to chatters they believe are minors and run. Little do they know they are being exposed in more way than one. PeeJ: Wankers features contributors who post men who "wank" on webcam to what they believe to be a minor, and exposes them - with their lewd conversations and webcam images - to a discerning public. This website features a media gallery system and a variety of archives. Warning: Graphic content. Not recommended for people under the age of 18.
Status: Active
Credits: I created the backend, frontend as well as most of the layout elements. Xavier Von Erck gets credit for the banner graphic.
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL

[May 2005] Child Seek Network (http://www.childseeknetwork.com/)
Screenshot of ChildSeekNetwork.com
This website was done for a non-profit organization dedicated to helping find missing children. The Child Seek Network website runs off my next generation scripts, which are more modular and flexible. Most configuration switches can be flipped on or off easily in this newest version. This website is fully featured with an excellent search utility to find cases of missing children/adults spanning over 20 years. It's one of the biggest and best of its kind.
Status: Active
Credits: I created the database backend and frontend of this website. The layout of the website was donated by students of the Portland Art Institute, the logo was done by Glen Gronso, and the website is administrated by ChildSeek coordinator Judy Maher.
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL, knowledge of phpBB

[December 2004] Project Wonderboy (http://www.projectwonderboy.com/)
Screenshot of ProjectWonderboy.com
Another modification from the older scripts with some newer improvements, this script provides for regular updates using the traditional PHP/mySQL backend for this growing and popular gaming site. Also includes an old phpBB plugin for forum integration.
Status: Active
Credits: I created the integrated backend, revised much of the layout and site concept to match. Project Wonderboy's owner whatever receives credit for basic layout concept.
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL, knowledge of phpBB

[September 2004] The Pop Cult (http://www.thepopcult.com/)
Screenshot of the ThePopCult.com
Modified from the Wrestling Oratory's design, this website has integrated polls, a comfortable backend, user management and is entirely dynamic and database driven. As a bonus, it uses my blogging mod for VBulletin, allowing it to interact with our own Monticello Forums. Website is administrated by webmaster Fat DJ.

[April 2004] SuperPatriot.net Blogger System
Screenshot of the SuperPatriot.net Blogger System
With our growing SuperPatriot.net forum membership, and the increased popularity of our network, I developed this special addition to SuperPatriot.net to allow our users to create blogs and contribute their words of wisdom. For a full list of our current blogs, check the lower right corner of the SuperPatriot.net homepage.
Status: Active, subscribing members
Credits: I created the blog to interact with phpBB & VBulletin forums, as such I take full credit for this mod, which worked in both forum models.
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL, knowledge of phpBB & VBulletin

[Sept. 2003] The Wrestling Oratory (http://oratory.rajahwwf.com/)
Screenshot of the Wrestling Oratory
The Wrestling Oratory is one of the web's highest quality wrestling opinion websites, as well as one of the most popular ones. Specializing in reviews, interviews, and opinion pieces, the Oratory has published some of the best independent wrestling writers on the internet. I was more than happy to help this site out with a script overhaul, giving it one of the most powerful publishing engines its ever had. This version of the Oratory has archives extending back to its inception in 1998, being the first version to have all Oratory works in one place.
Status: Active, heavily updated
Credits: Owner/Admin drqshadow constructed the layout, which I adapted to the script
[July 2003] Perverted Justice (http://www.perverted-justice.com/)
Screenshot of Perverted Justice
Perverted-Justice.com is quickly becoming the envy of law enforcement and civilian watch communities around the world. The heavily updated website manages anywhere between 3,000-20,000 unique visitors a day, and stores information on hundreds of internet predators. Behind the scenes, the website offers a Data Center for investigation efforts, providing a secure file sharing system for police. The website is administrated by Perverted Justice Director of Operations and Owner, Xavier Von Erck. WARNING: This site deals with adult issues.
Status: Active, heavily updated
Credits: Owner/Admin Xavier Von Erck offered creative input for the new site, and PeeJ contributor Beef the Troll designed the logo. The general layout, scripting and functionality are all my implimentation and designs.
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL, uses several self-scripted control panels, including a secure file storage/sharing system

[Jan. 2003] The New American Myth (http://www.namyth.com/)
Screenshot of the New American Myth
My political site, where I allow columnists to post political policy analysis pieces. This site has an evolving e-novel publishing script and two other subsites with seperate layouts and functions. It's a very good example of my commitment to excellent internet publishing resources.
Status: Active, updated regularly
Credits: I did all the work on this site
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL, uses the earliest version of my Control Panel script

[Dec. 2002] SuperPatriot Network (http://www.superpatriot.net/)
Screenshot of SuperPatriot.net
Home for the sites designed by myself and Xavier Von Erck. Home to all of our site's forums. This main page outputs all the content from all the pages, from dynamic includes and database queries. It also acts as a portal for our Blogger network.
Status: Active, frequently updated with cross-site content
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL, phpBB Installation/Use

[Sept. 2002] PAOracle.com (http://www.paoracle.com/)
Screenshot of Phoebus Apollo's Oracle
A personal archive for my own writings and work. The site you are on now. Recently overhauled to support a multiple CSS skin system (totally reliant on CSS for visual presentation/layout), and is XHTML 1.0/XML compliant. The new skin system can be accessed from a menu on the main page at PAOracle.com.
Status: Active, updated infrequently
Credits: I did all the work on this site
Skills Used: Advanced HTML/CSS, PHP, MySQL, XHTML 1.0 Transitional (verify with a button at the bottom of this screen), uses a simplified version of my Control Panel script, various archived versions of the site use SSI, Javascript, XML (with XPath), Flash, XHTML, phpBB integration
