Exercise Log 3.22.14 (Back Day + Fight for Air Climb ’14)

By phoebusapollo on Sat Mar 22 2014

Started out today with a fun trip up One Oxford Center at a fundraising stair climb for the American Lung Association. I definitely used my lungs (and legs) to get me up 897 steps in 9:47, which I think is pretty good for a first timer. I however could’ve done better if I had listened […]

Exercise Log 3.21.14 (Bouldering! + Cardio)

By phoebusapollo on Fri Mar 21 2014

Today I had a fantastic run through Frick Park, one of the first days in a while it was nice enough to run outside. It was a horrible pace but I knocked out 3.45 miles. Then after that, did some bouldering! Not really a documentable workout but still great fun. Within several climbs my forearms […]

Exercise Log 3.12.14 (Bouldering!)

By phoebusapollo on Wed Mar 12 2014

Went bouldering tonight, this counts as arm day in my routine so I’m good. Keeping the log short because I could log info about how long I was bouldering but it’s more a social activity than anything. I usually pass some arm work to dev day after bouldering.

Exercise Log 2.26.14 (Bouldering!)

By phoebusapollo on Wed Feb 26 2014

2.26.14 Went bouldering again tonight, put in some more serious work this time. Tried a few new obstacles and actually did more properly feel the workout. Today is arm day, so it’s suitable to go bouldering as a substitute. Will shore up anything else on my arms tomorrow on dev day. I keep meaning to […]

Exercise Log 2.19.14 (Bouldering!)

By phoebusapollo on Wed Feb 19 2014

This isn’t really a rest day in my exercise log, I went bouldering with friends for a couple hours. Been hard at work at an indoor rock climbing gym trying to improve my spiderman skills. I had a great time and it technically is a physical activity at least in my book, was overlapping arm […]

Exercise Log 2.13.14 (Tubing!)

By phoebusapollo on Wed Feb 12 2014

This isn’t really exercise but it is a physical activity so I’m going to list it, was still feeling a little under the weather so wanted something casual and fun, so hit up Boyce park for snow tubing with some friends. It was a fun time, the 2 hours or so of tubing probably equivocated […]

Exercise Log 1.22.14 (Bouldering!)

By phoebusapollo on Wed Jan 22 2014

Quick exercise log today. In my rotation today was supposed to be arm day, and tomorrow development day. Well I put arm day back to tomorrow and decided to have some fun with some Meetup friends and go bouldering. This was my first time doing indoor rock climbing. I kind of think it’s a cool […]

Exercise Log 12.7.13 (Jingle Bell Jog 5K)

By phoebusapollo on Sat Dec 07 2013

Going to forgo the Flickr gallery today but yesterday’s run was alright. I didn’t do exceptionally well but I didn’t do exceptionally poor, I did fall below my mark but not by a wide margin. Probably overdressed for the occasion, the cold is intimidating but once you warm up you really don’t need too many […]

Exercise Log 11.28.13 (YMCA Turkey Trot 5-Mile)

By phoebusapollo on Thu Nov 28 2013

Quick log of today’s run, which was the only real workout I got in today due to the gym being closed early on Thanksgiving. Today was the annual Turkey Trot 5-mile race downtown to raise funds for the YMCA, which I think was pretty cool. The day was dry but cold, painfully cold, maybe 20 […]

Trying Yoga

By phoebusapollo on Tue Nov 12 2013

So I went to my first yoga class today (this was a “yoga flow” class taught for free to help fund donations for a local library). As a newbie to the fitness world I know that class based activities are very popular and yoga, zumba, spinning classes are those types of things that I see […]

Socialism WORKS!

Socialism WORKS! is a short website presentation I put together years ago with help from a friend. It is something of a snarky take on Socialism, critical of the advantages of Socialism from various origins of the idea.
